Headless Woman Discovered in Downtown Chelan

With Approaching Halloween Fête, Damsel’s “Body” on Display for All to See

headless womanChelan, WA (October 20, 2010) — Participating in Historic Downtown Chelan’s Scarecrow walking tour, Bon Séjour Home has gone all-out by executing the late Queen of France, Marie Antoinette.

Her Majesty has always demanded attention, and her beheaded effigy has been no exception. People will just be walking down the sidewalk and suddenly stop and stare.

“She gave me a start the first morning after we put her together. I came into the shop early and caught a glimpse of her out of the corner of my eye and nearly had a heart attack,” laughs, Bon Séjour owner, Darren Borror. “We had fun planning Marie, putting her together, and now watching peoples’ reactions to her.”

While most honeymooners return with a few trinkets and a sunburn, Darren and Brandee Borror returned from their honeymoon with inspiration for their new downtown shop—Bon Séjour Home. Over a decade ago, the couple honeymooned in New Orleans where they were drawn to the area’s antebellum plantations. One of the nation’s most photographed homes, Oak Alley, particularly caught their attention.
