About Bon Sejour Home

Darren Borror, Interior DesignerDarren and Brandee Borror first heard the words 'bon séjour' over a decade ago on their honeymoon in New Orleans.  Touring the historic antebellum mansions of the low country, they visited one of the world’s most famous homes, Oak Alley.  It was there among three-century-old live oaks that they first learned the meaning of the old-world French phrase bon séjour – it means pleasant stay.

Those two words stuck with them, and now in their new business, Bon Séjour Home, it’s the pleasant stay that they are offering.  Whether it is your brief stay in their tasteful shop or the pleasant surroundings they can help you achieve in your own home with creative interior design, you can be certain that it will be done with style.

Capturing both the warmth and comfort of Southern Living, and the sleek sophistication of a Parisian loft, Bon Séjour Home has something for everyone, whether it is home furnishings or personal gifts.

Showcasing window, wall and floor coverings, as well as accent furniture, home accessories and gifts, Bon Séjour Home, is Lake Chelan’s exclusive location for Sue Huston fine jewelry and Italian leather handbags, Seda France candles and diffusers, India’s Heritage draperies and Loloi area rugs.

“We are especially excited about our selection of Seda France candles and diffusers.  Each unique fragrance is meticulously created in Paris, then these fine quality candles and diffusers are manufactured in America to the highest standards,” says Darren.  “Another great product line is our Loloi Area rugs.  Part of the collection includes beautiful outdoor rugs.  These affordable outdoor rugs have the same luxurious look and feel of indoor rugs, but with the benefit of being cleanable with a garden hose.”

In addition to the stylish accessories and gifts available at Bon Séjour Home, it also offers complete interior design services that include construction management, lighting design, paint selection, as well as window, wall and floor covering coordination. “We are different from some other interior designers in that we don’t charge standard design-time rates. If you purchase items through us, we don’t charge any design fees, and if we’re selecting items through an outside vendor, we charge a reasonable service fee — we’re a lot more affordable than people might believe,” explains Darren.

The Borrors have both devoted their careers to design.  Brandee, a successful graphic designer owns and operates her own design and marketing firm, while Darren has focused his creative energy for the last twenty years on his passion of interior design.  In his spare time, Darren also operates a catering and event planning service.

Darren & Brandee’s careers took them to the coast where they worked for a number of years in Mill Creek before returning to the Lake Chelan valley to raise their family.
